2. Core Architectural Principle: On-Device Intelligence

Unlike conventional cloud-tethered applications, LoquiLingua's flagship features are engineered to run locally on your hardware:

• LoquiLingua Reader (Offline Gemma LLM): All book text comprehension, contextual semantic explanations, and quiz generations are executed on-device using local inference models. Your uploaded books, personal reading speeds, and marked vocabulary never leave your physical device.
• Microphone & Audio Processing (LoquiLingua Speak): Voice recording permissions are requested solely to enable real-time shadowing and acoustic pronunciation feedback. Your voice samples are processed ephemerally in volatile memory on your device to calculate acoustic similarity scores and are never stored, sold, or shared with third-party voice brokers.

3. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide a stable, personalized learning experience:

• Account Information (Optional): If you choose to authenticate via Firebase Authentication (Google Sign-In or Apple ID), we receive your basic identifier (email address, display name) to synchronize your learning streaks and unlock purchases across devices.
• Purchases & Subscriptions: In-App Purchases are processed directly through Apple App Store (StoreKit) or Google Play Billing. We do not store or process your credit card numbers or financial details. We only receive cryptographic receipts confirming your active subscription tier.
• Diagnostic & Telemetry Data: We may collect anonymized crash reports and app performance metrics via Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose software bugs, memory leaks, and device compatibility issues.

4. Third-Party Services & Advertising

To support free access tiers, we may integrate reputable third-party SDKs that process limited data in strict compliance with applicable platform rules:

• Google AdMob: Serves banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads. On iOS, in adherence with Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, we request explicit consent before any personalized tracking identifier (IDFA) is accessed. If consent is declined, only non-personalized, contextual advertisements are served.
• Firebase Services (Google LLC): Used for secure user authentication, anonymous database indexing, and crash diagnostics.

5. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used strictly to:

6. Data Retention and Deletion

You have the absolute right to delete your account and associated cloud data at any time. Inside the application settings, tap "Delete Account" to instantly purge all stored records from our Firebase database. Local app data (such as cached EPUBs, vocabulary lists, and offline models) can be removed at any time simply by uninstalling the application or clearing app storage in device settings.

7. Children's Privacy

LoquiLingua applications do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). If we learn that we have unintentionally collected personal information from a child without verified parental consent, we will promptly delete that data.

8. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to:

• Request confirmation of whether we process your personal data and obtain a copy thereof.
• Request rectification of inaccurate personal records.
